Acronis True Image Cloud: Filenames Containing Special Characters Are Not Displayed Correctly after Downloading The Archive from Cloud

Symptoms

  1. You create a file-level backup to cloud. Some files in the backup have special characters in the names (e.g. ö, ä, ü).
  2. You click Recover files and download the archive from the cloud.
  3. You unpack the archive.
  4. Filenames containing special characters are not displayed properly:

 

Cause

Issue in the product.

 

Solution

Our development is working on the issue. This article will be updated as soon as the fix is available.

As workaround, unpack the archive with 7-zip - a free file archiver:
