Acronis True Image 2017: mobile backup pauses when device is in sleep mode

Symptoms

Backup of an Android mobile device pauses once the device is locked.

Cause

Wi-Fi is turned off when in sleep mode.

Solution

Enable Wi-Fi usage while in sleep mode. You can find the setting in one of these ways:

1. Navigate to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings -> Advanced -> Wi-Fi sleep policy.
2. Set the setting to Never.

Or:

1. Navigate to Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Menu -> Advanced.
2. Set Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep to Always.
