Acronis True Image 2018: Backup activities list is empty after updating to build 10410

Symptoms

Backup activity tab becomes empty after updating Acronis True Image 2018 to build 10410.

Cause

Known issue with displaying activities in Acronis True Image 2018 build 10410.

Backup activity records are not deleted. Backup activity history is preserved and new records are written correctly in the internal program database even though the user interface does not display them. The problem is only with showing them under the Activity tab.

Solution

The issue will be fixed shortly in the nearest update for Acronis True Image 2018 (Windows). Once the new update is installed, all the activities will appear correctly in the list: both old, created before build 10410, and new, created in between build 10410 installation and the new update. We recommend that you wait for the update and do not apply the workaround described below.

Workaround

By applying this workaround, you will lose the previously created activity history. Note that the backups themselves will be preserved. Only the backup history will be deleted.

1. Make sure no backups are running.

2. Close Acronis True Image window.

3. Open Windows Explorer. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database\ and delete the ActivityStorage file. By default the C:\ProgramData folder is hidden and in order to see it you may need to enable displaying hidden items under Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Show hidden files and folders -> click "Show hidden files, folders and drives" - click OK.

4. Run the backup manually or let it run automatically by schedule. Old activity history will be lost, but the new backup activities will be displayed correctly.
