Symptoms
When recovering your Mac via Acronis rescue media, you have erased the system volume on the target disk by using Disk Utility prior to recovering the system.
Recovery completes without errors, but the system does not boot after restore.
Cause
Issue in the product.
This issue will be fixed in future versions of Acronis True Image.
Solution
As a workaround, erase the entire disk and format it as APFS before recovering your Mac:
- Boot to Acronis rescue media.
- Open Disk Utility.
- Erase the entire disk and format it as APFS: see this Apple Support article for instructions
- Then exit Disk Utility and perform recovery as described in Recovering your Mac
