Acronis True Image 2017: how to set up email notifications about backup status

On a Windows computer

You can either set up notifications for an individual backup (by modifying notification settings in this backup) or centrally for all backups (using online dashboard).

To set up email notifications for an individual backup plan:

  1. Click Options:
  2. Navigate to Notifications:
  3. Select the Send e-mail notifications about the operation state check box.
  4. Specify the necessary settings:

    For setting up notifications to a Gmail mailbox see this article.
    For setting up notifications to a Yahoo or Outlook/Live/Hotmail mailbox see this article.
    • Enter the email address in the To field. You can enter several email addresses delimited by semicolons.
    • Enter the outgoing mail server (SMTP) in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field.
    • Set the port of the outgoing mail server.
    • If required, select the SMTP authentication check box, and then enter the user name and password in the corresponding fields.
  5. Optionally, you can set up for which events you want to receive notifications.
    1. Click Additional notification settings:
    2. Select or clear respective check boxes:

   

To set up email notifications centrally for all backups:

  1. On the left sidebar, click the Gear icon (Settings):
  2. In Notifications, click Change email notification settings to open the online dashboard:
  3. Select the events for which you want to receive notifications: erros, warnings, and/or successful backups. Provide email addresses that should receive notifications. Optionally, you can adjust notification subject.
  4. Save changes.

On a Mac

You can centrally set up notifications for all plans (using online dashboard).

To set up email notifications, do the following:

  1. Click Acronis True Image:
  2. Click Account, and then click Email Notification Settings:
  3. Select the events for which you want to receive notifications: errors, warnings, and/or successful backups. Provide email addresses that should receive notifications. Optionally, you can adjust notification subject.
  4. Save changes.
